Our History
Murder For Hire Mystery Parties
How It Works
After you pick a theme, we give you a casting list that matches the size and sex ratio of your group. It is broken down into major, minor and extra characters, just like a movie. You give the live wires big parts and the shy people bit parts.
Everybody gets in-depth information a week before the event, so they have plenty of time to “get into character” and find something to wear. (But don’t forget, most of our parties have parts for people who are reluctant to dress up. For example, our rock and roll party has parts for crazy rockers, but also for record label executives who can come in business attire. Our Soap Opera and Golf/Country Club themes do not require any dress up at all. If your group loves to dress up, do our Pirate, Roaring 20s, Science Fiction party, etc.)
The pre-party buzz is tremendous. Everybody is on the phone talking to people about their character and what they will wear several days prior to the event.
There is no better ice-breaker anywhere. Regardless of if your group is made up of strangers or friends, everybody will have a blast! Strangers will have an excuse to talk to anybody in the room, and friends will get to know each other on an entirely new level.
The party is not dinner theater! It is a mixing/mingling/socializing event.
There are no lines to recite. Just read your character summary ahead of time – you can bring it to the party with you if you want. Just walk in the door as your character, and the fun begins!
Available Themes
Rock n Roll – Get a backstage pass to Tina Terrific’s New World Tour. Guests include rock and roll bands, managers, stage hands, record label executives, hair stylists, groupies, etc.
Roaring 20s – It’s time for the Chicago Syndicate’s Annual Meeting. Bring your heater.
Out of this World – Star Wars has nothing on this science-fiction adventure. Everybody in the galaxy will be there.
Holiday – Relax, we don’t kill Santa. In deference to the holidays, this is a grand theft mystery – we try to catch a thief. You are invited to Santa’s annual party for his staff and friends. Who hangs with Santa? The Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, Little Red Riding Hood…
Pirate Party – Ahoy Mates! Drop your anchor at Happy Island and hang with your fellow shipmates.
Hospital Soap Opera – Who’s pregnant? You’re not my mother? (This theme is great for people who may be concerned their guests will not want to dress up, as this is typical business attire.)
Golf/Country Club – Everybody is invited to a fictional country club where there are a lot of rumors swirling around, especially about the local golf pro known as Cheetah.
